Spotify plays the wrong song

In a non-shuffled playlist of mine Spotify keeps jumping to the start of the playlist after any song from the playlist finishes or I press skip. Pressing back on any song makes it jump to a certain song about 2/3 of the way through the playlist the playlist.

As it is, I am paying for this and I have to alt-tab every time a song ends and change the song to the next one manually.

How hard can it be for a music player to just play the next song in the list???
