Spotify takes 5 minutes to open in Windows 10

Spotify takes 5 minutes to open up on my computer. I am running Windows 10 on a desktop computer, I'm a US premium customer, and I already re-installed Spotify but it didn't fix the problem. This is totally unacceptable. I just want to listen to MUSIC. Why did you build a software so useless and haphazard that it takes me 5 minutes to start listening to any songs? I'm a premium member but I'm going to cancel my subscription easily if this garbage app doesn't get fixed on Windows 10.

First thing you can try is checking the hosts file on your PC for entries that need to be removed. Follow the steps described here on how you can do that.

If you still experience a slow start of the app after cleaning up the hosts file, you might need to run a clean reinstall of Spotify as well. We recommend this steps since it's more thorough in removing corrupted data compared to the regular reinstall.
