My Question or Issue

When the Spotify Desktop app is maximized on a screen on my multi-monitor setup, and it is currently in focus, a single row of pixels from the right or left side of the app (depending if the app is on the left or right monitor) extends onto the other monitor.

For example in attached screenshot of the left side of my main monitor (I recommend zooming in to the screenshot further), Spotify is maximized on my secondary monitor which is to the left of my main monitor, by using the maximize button at the top right of the app (I did not manually strech by dragging the edges of the app). My monitors are of different resolutions (my main is 1920x1080, my secondary is 1680x1050) so you can see on the one screenshot of the left side of my primary monitor, the tiny bit of red line at the top left is my mouse over the 'x' button of the Spotify app and you can see where the app bottom ends with my different resolution screens. Will likely need to zoom in to the picture quite a bit to really see it since it's only 1 pixel wide.

In the screenshot of the seam of both my screens which I have already zoomed in,  you can also see Spotify desktop app is extending over by just 1 row of pixels as well while it is in focus.

I don't know why, but Spotify just seems to grow by 1 pixel when the app is in focus. Once the app loses focus, the extra row of pixels disappears. This only happen with the Spotify desktop app. I have tried a variety of other programs such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Word and even just the Windows File Explorer, and none of them exhibit this issue of displaying 1 row of pixels on my other monitor when they are maximized and in focus.

I'm still having this issue. You can certainly provide a fix for it if you wanted to. I haven't found any other program that has the same issue, including other Electron apps.

Still not fixed! Issue still occurring feb 10th 2024. Mildly frustrating ongoing issue that was raised 1,323 days ago...

Still not fixed. This is an issue plaguing lots of people. Please fix it spotify!

I am having this problem too I just realized recently.

Can someone from Spotify chime in here? This has been an issue forever and is extremely annoying.

4 years is one heck of a time frame! Thanks Spotify, you may have a hard time fixing simple bugs, but you sure do know how to drive up the cost of premium once a year!

Still an ongoing bug as of 9/22/24

This issue will likely never be resolved.

Please fix this...

My Question or Issue

The window of Spotify is wrong when maximised. The window carries over a very small, but noticeable (and very annoying), section of black line onto my other monitor when Spotify is the window I am currently using. This issue has not occurred on any other applications, and thus is not an issue of my specified monitor size in settings, it is just Spotify. Essentially, it appears as though the maximised window is doesn't fill the monitor correctly, so carries over to the second display, but only when there is two. In the attachment below, you can see to the left hand side of the screen, where the screen goes over to the other, when I enter the Spotify maximised window, it carries over, when it shouldn't.

I have the same issue since a long time ago...

Little difference: I have a white strip on my other monitor, and the 'X' or any other UI element don't seem to flow over. But it's only with Spotify when in focus.
Also it's only present when starting the app, a simple resize fixes it.

(I have two screens with the exact same resolution)

I think it's great that Spotify offers such a feature. Hopefully they make it just a tad bit wider, so I can see that line better. Oh and also, move the 'X' button a little bit downwards. Thankfully it's already not in the corner for an easy close!

Issue still present, plz fix.

so the best way to go is to un-maximize (Restore down) the window and then re-maximize.

this has worked for me for years, until the most recent update of november, and now the issue persists after re-maximizing.
