PC & Web played doesnt work.
But iphone application seems to work. It's quite strange.
I tried uninstalling, clearing cache as well as other workarounds outlined in this forum (disabling hardware acceleration etc.).
Hey @FireStorlvl ,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
Could you try changing the sound output settings of your PC? Here is a thread with some relevant information. The devices may be different, but the idea is the same - change the output quality.
Let us know how that went,
Cheers!
Hi Dian,
Thank you for your response.
I went through the thread, I didn't fully follow what the suggested solution was however here is what I tried:
- Switched to another output device on my machine - Did not really work (my headset is connected to the headset jack)
- Skipping on spotify stopped, pressed play, no sound came through
- While the song was playing, i switched back to the correct one and made sure the format is 24 bit, 48000 Hz
- Now one of the songs (when I start the app) is playing up to like the 30-45 second mark and restarting.
- It won't let me switch to a different song (neither with the next/prev buttons NOR by double clicking on another song/playlist).
Any ideas ?
Hey @FireStorlvl,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
Great troubleshooting! In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the affected device along with the Spotify version you're running there?
On another note, do you use a VPN on your computer? If yes, try disabling it to see if that makes any difference.
Could you send us a video recording of this behavior so we can have a closer look at it? You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.
Lastly, just to confirm, has the app always been behaving like this or does it start to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? Please send us the details about it.
Keep us in the loop!
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
