Spotify wont play some songs

My Question or Issue

 When I try to play a song that I haven't listened to before, it comes up with a blank song cover, no song title and author and the progress bar doesnt move. Been having this issue for a while and have only just decided to come here to ask for help.

I'm having the same issue , i tryed unistalling the program , disable hardware accelaration and crossfader to 0 all the variants on the one of the topics , it's still not working properly , can someone know a proper fix ?

later edit : i found a solution for me :

You need to delete the Spotify entry in your Hosts File.
you can find the Hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.txt

Open it with a Notepad that you opened as an Administrator. (otherwise its not working). There is an Entry for spotify, delete it and save the file. Restart  Spotify.
