SpotifySetup.exe has stopped working

I was trying to download Spotify, for the first time. I downloaded it for windows, through the website. So far everything's cool and good. It was installing, but then a message popped up; "SpotifySetup.exe has stopped working".

I try again, same thing.

Tried moving the setup from one disk to another, same thing.

I search this up and come across a similiar issue. Not the same one, similiar.

Someone linked an alternate download on the answers. I downloaded it, fine and dandy. It was working perfectly. Until after a bit, it said it had an update. I foolishly clicked it, and the SpotifySetup.exe thing CAME BACK. I could no longer open Spotify. Uninstalled it, tried doing it again. Upon using the same alternate download, rather than the modern version I got an old glitchy one. There are no profile settings, I can't even change my language.

So, how do I get the normal Spotify?? Why does it always say "SpotifySetup.exe is not working"?? PLease help me
