Strange clicking noise

So here's the problem. Every time a new track starts, there's an audible click/pop noise before the music starts. Sometimes it's louder, sometimes it's super quiet, but it's always there and it's slowly driving me crazy.

I searched for a solution online and tried pretty much everything, from turning off hardware acceleration to reinstalling Spotify and my audio drivers, but nothing helped.

Any ideas what may be causing this?

What platform are you currently using Spotify on?

Windows 7, recently reinstalled. The same one I've been using for years and never had this problem before.

Could you first try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app? If this doesn't work, we can try a few other things.

Right, sorry about that, short term memory loss or something on my part!

All you need to do is get in contact with Spotify support and their Accounts team can take a look backstage. The easiest way to contact them is by messaging SpotifyCares on Facebook or Twitter. They usually respond within 48 hours!
