Hello,
I'm using a PC with Windows 10 installed. Here's my question:
For the longest time, the way I've been discovering music is just coming across a random song and downloading the discography of the said group, after eliminating the songs I didn't like, I imported those songs to my iTunes and that was it. This was a great method before Spotify; but as I have around 3k songs in my iTunes library, I can't switch to spotify.
I want to switch as the recommendations are a great way to discover new music. I know that I can transfer my library to Spotify and make spotify read the songs from my local files. But I don't think those songs count as "what I like" in the algorithm and so wouldn't translate to my recommended artists list.
Is there anyway I could "teach" spotify what I like and what I don't? The entry barrier for me is great and that's why I'm still using iTunes; I just can't give up those 3k songs 😄
