My Question or Issue

There has once again been added bad additions to the UI of Spotify. When playing song from curtain artists, there will now be either a short video, or a big picture instead of the album cover, on the right side of the screen. This is very annoying, since you can't even choose to remove it, almost everytime I skip to a song that has it, my headphones/pc makes a little distortion sound, and no it is not that I have bad headphones ect.

This is a very unpleasent addition to Spotify, and it is quite frankly annoying, and it adds very little to the experience.
Either let us remove it, or just remove it all together.

Hi there @MikkelAE,

Thanks for reaching out!

Are you referring to the Canvas feature? It's a looping visual layer or static image that replaces the album artwork in the Now Playing View. You can disable it in the app's settings.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you try reinstalling the desktop app using the following steps? Should the issue persist, it would be great if you could send us a recording so that we can check. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.

Looking forward to your reply.

Take care

Hi Yordan,

I forgot to answer this when I first read it. I must have not read it thoroughly enough. I didn't see, that you told me how to turn it off. And yes I believe it is the ''Canvas Feature''.
I just turned it off.
Thank you for the help.
