Unable to log in via Windows desktop app

My Question or Issue
I've reinstalled Spotify and rebooted 3x to no avail. Here's what's happening...
- When I open the desktop app, I'm shown a "log in" button.
- When I click that "log in" button, I'm sent to a browser (Ffox) window containing a Spotify auth page.
- The auth page displays "Allow Spotify to connect to Spotify for desktop..." with my correct user name (and so I am logged in via web) and a "continue to the app" button.
- When I click that "continue to app" button, I'm returned to the desktop app, but I'm not logged in -- the app simply continues to display the "log in" screen, with the button that takes me to the web, which has the button that takes me back to the app -- it's an endless loop.
Please help? This is a new issue.
