Unable to reinstall spotify

My Question or Issue

I am trying to remove the spotify files manually from appdata to re install but it gives me a "File is already in use " error. I have made sure there is no process running in the task manager which has "Spotify" in its name. Please help. also when I try to install spotify using the installer, it gives error code 18.

Try downloading it from the microsoft store, if you downloaded it on the spotify website.

i had the same problem and for me it worked.
