Upload someone else's music

Solved!

Upload someone else's music

I want to upload some music by an artist which is not available on Spotify. It was not officially released. However almost all his albums are already there. I do not want to make money by uploading the music. I want all the revenue generated to go to him. How can I do it?

Hey folks,

Thanks for posting here 🙂

Only the rightful copyright holders can upload music on Spotify.

In case you've purchased songs that are not on Spotify, you can still listen to them locally on your devices. You can head here for more information about local files.

also interested in doing this. Anyone have any thoughts?

You may try to read the Copyright terms of the desired artist / band if you haven't tried already. There you may find some usefull info about spreading and uploading the content of the artist you where talking about.

Hope this might help you.

Me too, i want to upload it on spotify since its hassle free... i don't also want to earn but i would gladly help the artist...

I am here 'cause I would like ti do the same. I have some songs of artists that are already here on Spotify. Anyone can help? I am creating some playlists and they are incomplete without those songs.

Thanks a lot!

What if someone, illegally distribute same song into platforms

Hey @prazkhanalofficial,

Thanks for posting on the Community!
In case of copyright infringement, you can use this link to report it 🙂
Other platforms have similar ways of actioning this as well.

We're here for you if any further questions arise.
Cheers!

Im on my way to report unwanted distribution by unauthorized person ASAP

You need to get authorization from the original master recording holder regarding distribution.

No, you can't until an authorized person grants for distribution involved in the original master recording.

So I want to post unreleased/ live music of famous artists. Like me and many other fans would like to enjoy this music in Spotify. These songs probably will never be released by the artist. The music I would release i would do be as a post cast and I would state that these podcast recordings belong to original artist. These recordings would be from concerts and/or from public events. I would not be posting unheard/unreleased/leaked/ private music that said artist had not performed to the public before.

I just don’t what to be copy righted for posting live version of music fans want to hear on Spotify.
(I just want to post “the one that got away Olivia Rodrigo and Conan gray live from sour tour” without worry 😭)
