Username is bunch of random characters. How do I fix it?

Edit: I fixed it. After I posted this, it asked me to choose a username. I can't figure how to delete this. Sorry.

That didn't help for me. I have a username on spotify.com but not anywhere else (just letters and numbers). I looked in other posts, and apparently typing a reply on here fixes it.

why does it even make it even ask you when you create an account if it just makes it random letters? Kinda just annoying.
