Volume normalization has never worked

Volume normalization has never worked

Volume normalization hasn't worked for years on desktop.  When is Spotify going to do something about this?  With the setting turned on song volume still varies wildly and I constantly have to adjust the volume between songs.

Volume doesn't work reliably anymore on Windows. Only in older versions of the client, from years back, did it work well. Doesn't matter if normalization is turned on or off, volume will not work right.

Acoustic volume is not trivial, but as it used to work, one can only speculate that the person who used to do this left Spotify and they haven't hired someone yet who knows how to make it work again.
