WIndows 10 App Will Not Play.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this.

PROBLEM: Spotify will NOT play on this PC. I can login and I can select music but the play progress remains greyed out no matter what I do. The Web version works and my Android Phone App works.

Already Tried:

1) Reboot - No Change.

2) Uninstall/Delete everything.

3) Reinstall using Spotify App from Spotify Website - No Change.

4) Uninstall again, delete everything including caches again.

5) Reinstall Spotify App from Windows Store - no change.

6) Turn Of Hardware acceleration - no change.

7) I have read as much as I can and don't think that I have missed anything obvious so I'd appreciate any new insights

OP here - I have just remembered something to add to the problem description - I am running a VPN though it is in my own region for security and privacy, not to beat geo-blocking. I have just turned it off and now the Spotify App is working correctly. Unfortunately, this is not how I want my PC to run - is there a solution which allows the App to function but does not require my VPN to be turned off?

Thank you for the additional info!
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee how the app will behave if you're using VPN services & we usually advise against it.
As different VPN services may behave differently though, you could test the app behaviour with an alternate VPN to see if that makes a change 🙂
