Was "create similar playlist" removed?

I've been using the "create similar playlist" function as a way to discover new music and its been such a great tool, much more effective than simply going to a song radio. I've only been able to use this function on my desktop but now can't even seem to do that on there now. Was this function completely removed? If so, that's a huge bummer.

Both my friend and I contacted Spotify support 2 days ago about the missing Create Similar Playlist feature cause of how crucial it is to have we use Spotify. We were both told that it was purposely removed, and my friend was told it was supposed to be replaced by the Smart Shuffle feature.

Bring it back! Smart shuffle is annoying and bad, and doesn't work the same way. I used to use Create Similar Playlist all of the time.

I dont understand why they took this feature out (it was the best way to find different songs) and also why get rid of the hearts? Just cause i add something to a playlist doesnt mean i consider it a heart. #bringtheheartsback
Also what is this? Apple? Stop taking away features. If you are going to do an update then add it to spotify dont take it away

Not solved for sure, it is missing for me too, just a pity. Dunno why such a good feature vanishes for some reason ... Please bring it back

spotify this is stupid, people will pull from your product if you keep messing with features and removing them all the time.  What a joke. Smart shuffle is stupid and recommends way too much old music that I'm sick of.  Give us a way to control our music exploration, daylist is also trash.

Bad move guys, taking out "create similar playlist". That was a great tool for those who love music to explore and create new material. Bring it Back! Bring it back, Bring it all back to me... Because you don't knowwwwww, what it means to US!

Using an old version on desktop that still has the 'create similar playlist' button, however it does nothing when clicked! I thought it was a bug. I never understood what goes through a company's head to just remove a feature people love. Please restore it rapidly. Do better Spotify

wow.. I have been wondering this same thing for what feels like ages now.. and finally upset enough to post something.  I mean First-World Problems right? but come on.  This feature was truly unbelievable, perhaps so much so that Spotify wanted to harness it's power?? Like I find a massive playlist from a DJ and 'Create Similar' and then the new playlist is My own.  It felt too good to be true, and now it turns out to be.  Please bring it back!!

Very disappointing the feature is no longer works. It was bad enough it disappeared on my personal Mac but stayed on my Windows computer at work. Now the button doesn't work at all. Nobody wants smart shuffle, it doesn't even give you the same music the Create Similar Playlist does. Even the "Recommended based on this Playlist" at the bottom of the playlist is terrible. It gets stuck on like two songs you put in there and then gives you the same three artist's entire discographies. The ONLY progress ya'll have made is with Create a Similar Playlist. Bring it back.

I already get Apple Music through my phone plan for free. They have better quality music. Switching would be beneficial at this point, even if they have a smaller music library! I will forfeit some of my classical music for non-trash recommendation features.

The recommended section has way too often the exact same songs in it and
Smart Shuffle is a pain in the ass.

I don't see it on my Windows laptop. I'm using the Spotify app. It doesn't show the option to create similar playlist.

I use spotify on browser and this feature isn't there anymore for me. it hasn't been for a while so i'd assumed it'd been removed

I've cancelled my premium until this function is back, I've filled up the reason explaining I've left because you've removed this function that was the best function you had. I will come back once you add it again.

It's missing from my desktop and my phone app versions (Mac desktop, Android phone) - and I used to enjoy using it!
