Web interface & Application bugs :

Solved!

Web interface & Application bugs :

Plan :Premium

Country : France

Device :

either windows 11 for desktop app & linux chrome for web interface

My Question or Issue

On the web interface : right click doesn't work anymore, furthermore i can't see my folders which is how I order my playlists. So I can't see my playlist and it's pretty unusable.

On the desktop app left clic doesn't work anymore. When I say it doesn't work i mean : the first time i do it it opens for less than a second then it don't do it anymore (for exemple to queue a song or even play radio... whatever you need)

I've tried to use the troobleshooting section, reset my app ect... nothings works.
I'll try to reinstall but if the problem stays or even come back that's pretty anoying.
I don't know if the problem came to your ears yet but there it is ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi there @SwiipNow,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you get the app working again.

Is this only happening on one Windows device? If so, since the issue affects both the web player and the app, the issue is most likely caused by something on the device itself. Consider trying the following:

  • Test on different networks
  • If you use any kind of VPN or proxy server, disable those
  • Check your firewall and antivirus settings

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

Hello,

Thanks for your answer.

I got the problem on differents computers. One is on linux and used on a different network at my work. The other on is my personnal computer.

The Linux one was working right until a few weeks ago, and same for my PC.

On my PC i don't have any VPN, proxy and I tried to disable my antivirus nothing changed.

I also tried to reinstall spotify and emptied the cache it didn't worked.

If I can specify : Albums, Songs, Playlist and radios doesn't accept right click or oven rollup menu when you click the 3 dots. When I open the app for the first time when the processus have been killed or not launched yet I can see the rollup for a brief moment. Then it closes itself and doesn't work anymore.

For podcast  (not the podcast episode itself but the whole brand of podcast) it looks like i got a right click rollup to follow/unfollow - pin/unpin.

Otherwise, folder disappearing appears on every computer when it is on the web interface.

If you want me to give any informations, screenshots of specific things ask me i'll be glad to provide it to you

Hey @SwiipNow

Thanks for getting back in touch.

If the issue persists across devices and over any network, it might be account-related. To check that, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your affected devices and see if they can replicate this behavior?

On another note, sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening would come in handy. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

Lastly, keep in mind that currently Spotify doesn't officially support Linux.

We'll be waiting for your reply.

Hello again,

I've made that recording, here it is. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rbLUtKsG4MyFOFZUzISppOUJakDnewp9/view?usp=sharing
Even if you can't see the click consider that i was clicking right on the song name and of course left clic on the dots. As you can see i've also tried the web interface, which has the same added to the fact that my folders disappeared & so my playlists.

I've not recorded this but I also tried on another PC on the app and nothing changed.

I have no friends using spotify around me for now, I will try to find someone soon and confirm it to you. But as i tried 3 computers for now and it seems that you don't have a lot of similar issues pending, i guess it isn't going to far to say it's account relative ๐Ÿ˜•

Hi there @SwiipNow,

Thanks for your reply and for the video.

If you can't ask someone else to log into their Spotify account, you can create a new account for testing purposes, and delete it afterward. Give it a try with that account and let us know if the issue is also present there. This will help us know if it's account-related.

On another note, you mention your Playlists and Folders missing on the Web Player; does this happen on different devices as well? Have you tried logging in from an incongito/private tab or different browser?

We'll be on the lookout!

Hello, sorry for coming back late.

I've tried with a friend account, everything works fine, folders and left click.

And i've already tried 2 browser different, plus the application on 2 computer different.

Hello, just replying in case my post got lost.

Thanks.

Hi @SwiipNow,

Thanks for the reply.

We've looked into this extensively and tested on our end and based on everything we know about this issue, we believe the only solution would be a new account. You mentioned that it works with a different one, so try creating a new account of your own and testing if everything works. If there are no issues present, then you can transfer your library as shown here. For help transferring Premium time and other related things, you can reach out to us directly here

Hope this helps.
