My Question or Issue

Hi all,

Experiencing a frustrating issue.  Within the last week, I have been receiving an issue using web player in Chrome, saying it needs to reload, but the same error coming up (shown below). Never experienced this in the past.

I have tried clearing cookies and cache but cannot rectify.  I have tried logging out and in again - also to no success.

The odd thing is that if I open a new Chrome window but not logged into my account, it works fine after logging in.  Happy to have a work around, but frustrating to have to use but not logged into my account.

Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Hey @far_queue_nob

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

This sounds a bit odd and we'll do our best to help you out here.

Would you mind testing this with a different account? If a family member has a Spotify account, it'd be great to ask them to log in on the aforementioned browser to see if they'll be able to reproduce the issue. This will help us understand if it's account related or not.

We'd also recommend giving this a try on a different network, for example try to connect to another Wi-Fi or test with a hotspot network (if possible).

In case you're still experiencing this, could you let us know what content you're trying to access?

Hope this helps. We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hi @Lyubka,

Asked my wife (same Premium Family account) to log into Spotify in Chrome logged into my Google account. Can confirm that she received the same message I posted.

When trying to log into a new Chrome window (not logged into my Google account) it logged in perfectly (same as me).

As for content - same music I listen to in the car through my phone.

Hoping this might help edge closer to a resolution. It is driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance.

Hey @far_queue_nob,

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

In this case, if possible, would you mind logging in on a different computer to see if you can replicate this behavior? You can ask the computer of a relative or a friend to open your Google account there and then your Spotify account to check if this happens there.

On another note, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.

Lastly, we'd suggest cleaning your host files to see if you notice any difference in this behavior. To do it, you can follow the steps in this article.

Keep us in the loop!
