What has happened to the ability to copy the playlist url in Spotify Premium? It was such a good function. Why has it been removed?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hey @SlowBurne
The option to copy the link, URI, or embed code has moved to the "Share" menu. Right click on something and then click on "share".
You should still be able to paste as you usually do after clicking on "copy to clipboard"

Clipboard just means the operating system's program that stores the text that was copied. It's just a term used to refer to it. The developers could have just put "copy link" I think, but it works the same way.
So in summarry, it funtions the same way as before, but now you have to click "share" first.
Hopefully this helps answer your question.
Hey @user-removed, welcome to the Spotify Community!
If you click on Share... there is still the option to COPY LINK TO CLIPBOARD.
Please let me know if you need any other help 🙂
Wow! Thanks Jacob. Really helpful and the new format looks good too 🙂
I don't understand what the clipboard is or how I can use it.

Hey there @stoniestGerm,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this.
Let us know whether you mean the URI or URL of your playlist. Can you also let us know if this is a Spotify-created playlist or one made by you? Does it not work for one playlist or for more?
Does it happen on a specific device or across all devices? Also, what's your Spotify version?
We'd like to look into it in а greater detail.
We also suggest you take a look at this page to find out more about the sharing features of Spotify.
We'll look out for your reply!

Hey @stoniestGerm,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Where exactly are you trying to post the playlist? We need this info to take a deeper look into the issue.
If you're trying to post it on an external website, blog or any website based on HTML, you might need to use the Copy Embed Code feature in the Share menu. Just click the three-dots menu next to the green Play button and you'll see the Share sub-menu.
Stay tuned!
