I've been sharing playlists that I've created to my website for months by simply right-clicking on the playlist, copying the link, and then pasting it seamlessly. Unfortunately, as is often the case, Spotify has decided to make things more complicated. Now the best I can do is copy the link to the clipboard. I have no idea what this clipboard is, where it is, or how I can use it.
Hey @SlowBurne
The option to copy the link, URI, or embed code has moved to the "Share" menu. Right click on something and then click on "share".
You should still be able to paste as you usually do after clicking on "copy to clipboard"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipboard_(computing)
Clipboard just means the operating system's program that stores the text that was copied. It's just a term used to refer to it. The developers could have just put "copy link" I think, but it works the same way.
So in summarry, it funtions the same way as before, but now you have to click "share" first.
Hopefully this helps answer your question.
After you copy the link to the clipboard go to where ever you want to paste, right click, then paste to the designated area.
When i right click, i don't have paste option
I also don't see any share option
trying to add play lists to my music
help!
Hey @ameliaMac
Do tell me what operating system (Windows version) are you using. 🙂
Are you using Spotify in browser (such as Firefox or Chrome) or have you downloaded the app?
You can follow playlists to access them fast, because when you follow them, they'll appear in the same place your own playlists are.
I understand you want to add songs you find on Spotify to Your Music. You don't have to copy their links or share them for that, you can just right-click and choose 'Save to Your Music'.
If you want to share a song in Spotify to your friend, then you can copy song links and then paste them in the message or comment for your friend. 🙂
Just to clarify - in case you meant your computer's library under 'My Music' (that folder in File Explorer), you can't copy songs from Spotify to add to your local library. Spotify library stays within Spotify. You can download songs for offline listening though, if you have Premium. In this case you can open Spotify and listen to your downloaded music and playlists even when the connection is down.
Feel free to ask if you need more help with it 🙂
