Why the terrible updates?

This last update has broken so many classic features and workflows as well as blown up the interface that used to be compact and simple to use. I've been a paid member for a while, but my patience is near its end! With each update this app's UX becomes worse. I literally was considering building a 'Betterfy' client using your API and removing all the GARBAGE that has made the interface unusable. 

 

Also, if you force a new interface globally and there is a significant user base that does not want it; why not give them an option to regress? Why did you patch up the PREF' hack that allowed users to revert to the classic version? Why did you create a work-around for people that locked the update-resources as 'read-only?' 

 

And what the F*** is happening to mobile? Currently every time I load the app, and click on 'Library,' I get a ton of active filters, and even if I turn them all off, and leave PLAYLISTS only, it rarely loads anything at all, just blank.. I have to then find a recent track, from my list, from the home screen and then hope that if I go BACK from that list it takes to the Playlist portion of my Library with all of the items. Yes I refreshed, yes I reinstalled, yes a sacrificed a goat and did a rain dance.

 

Why remove beloved features, like the classic inbox, and replace with garbage ones that people hate.  This trend of terrible downgrades is driving me nuts, a bit more of this ISHT and I'm quitting Spotify all together!

We're always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall and we’re constantly aiming to improve our features. We’re sorry that this means you’re not able to use Spotify like you wish to do at the moment.

Regarding the mobile - can you confirm that you followed the steps that's provided in this article? There's some more steps to help thoroughly uninstall the app from your phone so if you haven't, we'd highly suggest it since the steps will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

 

If that doesn't do the trick, can you provide us a screen recording so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?
