My playlist queue used to be in the center column on the desktop app. Now it has moved to the right column and I really hate it there. How do I move it back to the center?
THIS IS NOT, IN ANY WAY, "SOLVED".
Solved! Go to Solution.
Left as idea in https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Return-expanded-queue-view-not-only-sidebar-for-desktop-as-it/idi-p/5924728#M283914
So please vote if you want it back as well 😊
Seems as a workaround you can use the webplayer (open.spotify.com),
the queue is still in the center.
Hope this change is reverted asap.
Been using it that way since 2015...
Gotta say I agree with everybody's negative opinion about the queue being moved to the right panel so you can't view the queue and what's playing at the same time.
Has anyone figured out a way to jackhammer off the screen this junk of advertisement that Spotify calls "Home"?
My whole family is angry about this . . . . .
99% of the time I had now playing in the center, and album art and artist info on the right. Now, these two can't even appear on the screen at the same time, no matter what location. Total pain in the **bleep**.
I had to go and open my big fat mouth. Not half an hour after posting about how it was fixed and had been working fine for almost two weeks, the queue flopped back over to the right column and I can no longer see the Now Playing and Queue panels at the same time. The center column is just wasted space to me, only useful if I'm browsing, completely worthless if I'm actually listening.
Oh, and for the record, since I didn't post it earlier: Free Version, App rather than browser, Windows 10, Dell laptop.
FURTHER NOTE: I just tried the browser version and the queue is in the center column where it belongs.
Sane. This is driving me crazy. I hate this with a passion. I know exactly what is on my playlist. THIS DOES NOT NEED TO TAKE UP THE ENTIRE CENTER. stupidest update ever!
I can't do this desktop **bleep** update. I constantly rearrange songs, as others have stated, abd want that option front and center. I don't need to know what is in my playlists on a giant screen in the center...
I had a version older thant 1.2.31.1205, so I uninstalled that, downloaded the installer from Spotify and now have version 1.2.33.1039.g8dddb5918. But it still shows the queue in the right sidebar and not in the middle. Like it used to do.
What is annoying me the most is that the queue has seem to lost some of it's, for me, key features. I no longer seem to be able to:
1. Delete songs in queue by selecting it and pressing delete
2. Selecting several songs and deleting them (nor by delete button or by right clicking -> delete). So i have to delete them song by song.
This change has, for me, a huge impact on how i use Spotify.
@rännulv you can still mass delete songs by pressing backspace (at least for now). Not sure why backspace works and not delete. It's a bizarre change all around.
Seems like the very easy fix would be to allow users to toggle what is on the middle panel, just like they can do (somewhat) with the right panel. It's not like they need to figure out how to make the queue work there. It already did! Just let us press a button to show queue/jam/lyrics or whatever.
Also, let us customize what happens when we click on the album art in the bottom-left corner. It used to jump to the current spot in the playlist. Now it opens/closes the "now playing" view which I'd guess isn't as helpful for most people.
It is absolutely terrible--it needs to change back... I can't see what album title is, cant see the track time, cant see whether ive favorited the tracks... all this extra unnecessary clicking to find what I want... this interface just keeps getting worse.............
After this 3rd panel change.. Why does the left playlist panel can be adjusted all the way to the right, but not vice versa.. right panel to the left, so the album name, track length etc. could be shown ?
Yeah, this is a huge loss of functionality. I mainly used my queue and recently played to know what's in my library or not but now it doesn't show a check mark. Please add that back Spotify!
I don't think it is possible with the current desktop app, but I also would like to be able to show the queue in the middle pane like it used to be. Much more useful.

- My Question or Issue
Since my last update, my queue/recent played list appears on "right div" instead of appear on the center (the"main div")
Find no option on settings to revert to the old hebavior.
Give us the choice to keep what we like. I have tried to delete and reload a older version, but next reboot on my computer without my ok spotify updates to new (**bleep**) version.
No way to change this either, plus when you downscale the screen it still shown on the right, another unneeded UI change.
There was no need to change this, you can no longer see what the length is of upcoming numbers, please change this back or at least provide us with an option to change this.
I really thought it was a bug with the application.
It makes no sense not to have the possibility to focus on what is currently played and what will be (instead of now what could be).
We miss the length of the songs,...
If you want to keep this option, then create an option to have the possibility to either switch back to the former layout or at least extend the right panel and have more info.
Thanks
