My Question or Issue

Today I realized the Widget from the Widget-Panel is gone. I installed spotify from the Windows Store on three different Windows Devices. On each device there is no ability to add the widget.

Was this feature discontinued or is it just an error in the latest version?

We can confirm that this feature was discontinued recently, so you may not see it on the latest versions of the app. 

Spotify is always exploring new ways to provide its users with the best possible listening experience, and sometimes that means retiring certain features to make space for new ones.

Hope this clarifies things a bit. If anything else comes up, the Community is just a post away.

Thanks for your clarifying answer. But was there any place where this discontinuation was mentioned? If not, it would be really helpful to have release notes (ideally linked directly in the app) where such changes are documented. This would also prevent users like me from spending unnecessary time searching for this information.
