Hi @ar2oor,

Thanks for the screen recording! Could you also share the exact version of the app you're running?

If you haven't already, try resetting your preferences by deleting the prefs file, located in Spotify's installation folder:

  1. Open Spotify and make sure it’s running in the background.
  2. Open the Task Manager in Windows and switch to the Details tab.
  3. Locate the process Spotify.exe, right-click it and select Open file location to open the Spotify folder. There you'll find a file called prefs. Simply delete it.
  4. While in the Spotify folder, you'll also find a Users folder. Open it and delete its contents as well.
  5. Restart the app.

Note that you'll be logged out and your settings will be reset, so you'll have to adjust them again. If you had music downloaded for offline listening, you'll have to re-download it as well. Your library, however, will not be affected, so no worries there.

In case the issue persists, I'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of Spotify. It's also worth installing the app from a different source: if you downloaded the current version from the Microsoft Store, try the one from our website instead, and vice versa.

Keep us posted on this. Cheers 🤘

Version:

Spotify na Windows (64-bitowa wersja)
1.2.33.1039.g8ddb5918

Deleted prefs and Users dir,  logged again but it didn't help.

Reinstalled from Spotify website but it still doesn't work.

Looks like bug.

Hey @ar2oor,

Thank you for the shared info and sorry for the late response.

To continue investigating this, it would be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your PC - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.

We'd also recommend clearing any entries which contain Spotify from the host files on your computer. To do so, you can follow the instructions in this post (even if it's a different issue) to see if it makes any difference.

Let us know how it goes.
