Windows Tray Icon Not Present After Explorer.exe Restart

My Question or Issue

Whenever the explorer.exe process is restarted the Spotify tray icon does not return. All other apps get their tray icons back, but not Spotify. Spotify is still running normally, but if you've 'minimised Spotify to tray' you have to click the shortcut in startup to bring up the window again.
Happened for many years on both Win 10 and 11. Different computers. 
I've worked as an IT professional for 15 years, so I don't think it's anything silly on my end. I've tried the normal troubleshooting steps like testing on different computers and reinstalling.

Thanks for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.

This is quite odd, but we tested it on our end and were likewise able to reproduce this on both Windows 10 and Windows 11. We've reported this internally so that it can be looked into. Be advised however that we cannot say for certain at the moment when or if this is going to get addressed.
