My Question or Issue

cant log on, re installed cause wouldn't  show the music as online though was online on personal hotspot through phone with full signal.
tried deleting host files, rewriting a NO EXTENSIONS file, making spotify private and publically cool with the firewall.... reinstalled twice, reset computer, 
think in the years ive used spotify its been pretty rare used ona  apc as an app cause theres usually a prob with it, fine on phone mostly and web app but want to use pc app
can anyone help???? tried everything can find on this forum : (  😞  😞

oh also tried no proxy, auto detect and HTTP proxy - nothing happened

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community. 

 

You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?

 

If this doesn't do the trick, we suggest that you check your firewall and antivirus software to make sure Spotify is whitelisted or set as an exception.

 

Lastly, we'd recommend uninstalling any ad-blocker apps.

 

Keep us posted on how it goes.

thanks but none of this worked, it randomly signed me in this morning then
when tried to get in again this eve, spent the last 45 mins trying to sign
in, i was signed in then but it wouldn't say anything was online when it was
no i can sign back in, i did clean re install , it did nothing, i checked
the other things you said, the pc app is terrible, always has been, its
really annoying...
so now i cant sign in, i tried signing in with FB, google, with password
all nothing...
soooo annoying...?
what else can be done????

Thank you for your reply and for the troubleshooting you've done so far.

 

Can you try the following:

  • Check your firewall and antivirus software/apps to make sure Spotify is whitelisted or set as an exception.
  • Remove ALL entries from the Windows hosts file (not just the Spotify ones).
  • Uninstall any ad-blocker apps.
