desktop installation migrates to windows store version

Hi all,

I'm trying to install the desktop version of Spotify (not the windows store version), however every time I uninstall and install the software it migrates to the windows store version automatically.  I've never seen this before.  How do I stop this and keep the native desktop app installation?  There is functionality I need in the desktop app that the windows store version does not support. Thanks!
