i don't know how it's possible to never fix an issue and have every single update break something even further without ever fixing the issues.

for years, i had no problem using my desktop app and my phone app interchangeably. i could switch back and forth between devices with no problem. that has not been the case for the last, what, three years of updates at this point? i cannot switch devices from my desktop to my phone without the queue of whatever i was listening to starting from the beginning. updates have fixed this issue three times for about four days, before another update breaks it again.
now, in this current update iteration, i now can't even listen to playlists in their entirety, or edit the queue. if i can't listen to the playlists i've made, what is the point of this program? i started a playlist last night, i was listening to it all night, and today when i went to skip a song, the entire queue started over again from the beginning. from changing a song??
i now also cannot keep my phone and desktop app connected for more than five minutes. this is insanely irritating, as i use my desktop speakers through my entire house, and use my phone as a remote. i can't do that anymore, because my phone will lose connection with whatever is playing after maybe two songs. the spotify song play bar that should show up in my notification bar on my phone shows two or three songs, and then shuts off. the app is still open and running on my phone, again was never an issue for years, and has now been something i've been dealing with for over a year.
now, sometimes when i edit a queue, it will randomly decide to place every song i've moved or removed in the queue back into the queue all in succession, completely at random.
also, did someone misclass a tag in the lyrics section to make the font size 64pt? it's completely UNREADABLE for me. the font is way too big, it looks horrible. if you're going to make "accessibility" changes to your site, you need to make sure you are actually making it accessible. let us control the size of the font. awful UI changes.
this app gets more and more unusable with every update. between the horrific UI changes, the endless issues that never seem to ever be resolved, and my increasing inability to use any function of the program (ie listening to music, the app's function)- why am i paying money for this?

i have done all the "troubleshooting". i have reopened, updated, uninstalled/reinstalled. nothing ever fixes the issues.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share all these details — we really appreciate the effort you put into this post.

Some of the things you mentioned are topics that have come up in the Community before, like the queue resetting when switching devices, changes in how the queue and shuffle work, and connection issues when using the app across devices. Feel free to jump into those threads and add any info if you'd like!

 

We know this was a lot to unpack, and if you’re up for it, we’d be glad to go through things step by step on separate posts to help however we can.
