My Question or Issue

Im using a high end audio Device connected to my Laptop - RME Babyface.
It allows multiple outputs.
Spotify Desktop app outputs by default to wherever i output my Windows.
I cant seem to find a way to connect it directly to whichever output i choose.
Isn't there a way to do this?

Hey @vander1,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Unfortunately, Spotify doesn't have a way to change the output of the app yet, so it's expected that the Desktop app outputs by default on your device.

A similar idea to “Select the default sound device” has already been suggested here - feel free to show your support for it by adding your vote to it (hitting the “Thumbs up” button). We'd also recommend taking a look at its Status for more info. Any relevant updates about this will be posted there.

If you think your idea is different, feel free to submit it on our Ideas exchange board, highlighting how your idea is distinct from the existing one so it can start gaining votes and reach the relevant departments to be taken into account. We'd also recommend checking our guidelines before posting it to avoid any early rejection.

Thanks for your feedback. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
