music through spotify app does not play over external speakers

so I have this annoying issue. when you start playing music on spotify app it plays over laptop speakers rather than external speakers. I have selected external speakers as my default audio device and any other app (youtube) plays over external speakers. But not Spotify. All uninstall/re-install, restart did not help

Hi @user8999

Try this:

In Windows 10/11:

Right-click on the sound icon in your taskbar and select sound settings.

Scroll down to the Volume Mixer option.

On the Volume Mixer page, click the Reset button at the bottom.

Thanks! Straight to the point. I can see and switch between audio output for Spotify App specifically in the mixer: 

Don't need to delete my chrome browser data thanks god as advised by support 😄
