My Question or Issue

as the title says, the playlists I deleted months before are again appearing on my pc Spotify for I don't know what reason and no, I have not ever tried to restore them, if that’s what you were thinking. I just deleted it and it stayed in the deleted section of my account but yesterday, now out of nowhere, 2 of my supposedly deleted playlists popped up on my recently played list when they were not even in the general list of playlists.

I tried the delete every song, remove all the descriptions and photos of the playlist then delete it but that didn’t work. I tried deleting it through other devices but no use. I tried changing the wifi of my pc but that also gave no hope.

The fact that the playlists are ONLY showing up on my pc is driving me insane bc I use desktop Spotify more than the other 2 devices.

please tell me a way to get rid of those playlists asap because those playlists make me sick for some reason and I am not able to enjoy my music, thinking that those playlists are still showing up first thing when I open Spotify on my pc.

according to the pic attached, it’s the "not needed" and "not needed part 2" playlist.

Hey there @pzrqcxsmm,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. Help's here 🙂

We'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the desktop app. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If this doesn't do the trick, could you let us know if the same thing happens when you use the web player?

We'll be on the lookout.

I did do a reinstallment of the app, like 2 times, unfortunately, that didn't work.

I tried the same thing with the web player as well, hoping it would go away. still no use. the playlists still show up.

might as well try again by reinstalling it once more.

Hey @pzrqcxsm

Thanks for your reply and the clarification.

If possible, could you log in to your account using a different desktop device to see if you notice anything new?

Also, could you share the links to these playlists? We'll take a look from our end.

Keep us posted.

Hey @pzrqcxsm,

Thanks for the screenshots.

From what we can see both playlists are in the Good Morning selection. Do they also show in your list of playlists on the left-hand side?

If they're showing only in the Good Morning, that will update in about a week or two depending on how much music you listen to and, and they should be removed.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

no, they are not shown on the left-hand side section.

also, the folders I have created do not have those 2 playlists in them.

but that's the thing, the playlists in the good morning section are there without me even playing them.
the only playlists I ever played from the good morning section are the soft caffeine one and rotten mango podcasts. the others just popped up upon themselves without me doing anything.

Hey @pzrqcxsm,

Thanks for the clarification.

The Good Morning section is automatically generated. It adds some playlists you've enjoyed, some new content and some randomly selected items from your Library.

This section updates every week or two, so the deleted playlists should disappear from there eventually.

Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
