My Question or Issue

Hi I need some help because spotify desktop app ( for windows 10 ) it's driving me nuts. So a few hours ago the app was all good, no errors, no problems but now when I try to play a song it starts then it stops with a message saying "Can't play current song" then it starts again.

I already tried unistalling and installing again, turning off and on hardware acceleration, cleared the cache, logging on/ off.

Please helpt me

Hi folks!

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

@Seby299, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one? Make sure to download the app again from the Microsoft Store

@dirtyelliott, we suggest that you follow the same steps we sent to @Seby299 to check if that makes the difference.

If those steps don't do the trick, could you try to clear any host files containing spotify or fastly from your PC? Follow the instructions from this post here.

Keep us posted on how it goes 🙂

I reinstalled the hole operating system sooo... I don't really know what fixed it or what caused the error (probably an win update ) but thank you.

Hey @Seby299

We're glad to hear it's working as expected now. If you ever need anything else, we're just a post away.
