"Can't play current track" on VPN.

"Can't play current track" on VPN.

Hello,

 

My spotify premium refuses to play more than 2-3 songs without freezing at the end of one of the tracks. I then have to click skip to go to the next track every time.

This occurs only when on a VPN, and spotify displays the error message "can't play current song".

I have tried reinstalling, restarting laptop, deselecting play from local files, deselecting fade into next song etc.

Any suggestions?

It may be a problem with the VPN. You might want to try out a VPN with a free tier/trial such as Tunnelbear to see if it persists. P.S., if you do try other free VPNs, don't use Hola. It collects and sells data, among other things(Source: http://adios-hola.org/).

The VPN is my work VPN, so I can't try others.
Also, my colleagues use Spotify on it with no issues

Hmm, odd. I've found that clearing your cache/cookies has worked well for problems like this. If it doesn't, try contacting your IT department. I'm not too familiar with VPNs, especially in the workplace, so I can't help you past that. I hope this helps!
