redirect to appdata problem

On my pc at work the %appdata% folder has been redirected to a server. The result is a black screen with Spotify.

If i change the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData to use a local appdata folder like c:\users\%username%\appdata\roaming spotify works after a restart. 

If have checked the user rights on both folders but they are the same. Does anyone have an idea?

Can you give us a bit more info on what's going on? Also, is this happening on a home or work computer? How long has this been going on for?
