searching a song in a playlist, then clear the search view should be at place of song if playing

In long playlist you sometimes want to see or know the songs that come before or after a song you searched.
And having to scroll down is very inconveniet.

It would feel natural and intuitive to just be at the position of the song in the list when playing it after deleting the search terms.

Also, this was a feature in Itunes in 2010 I believe.

Would be nice to have this as an optional behaviour in the settings

Hi there @DomenicV!

What you're describing should work on the desktop app, just make sure to highlight the desired song first by clicking on it: clearing the search with the X button should then cause the app to jump to the highlighted song's position in the playlist.

To jump to the currently playing song's position in the playlist, tap the playlist's name at the top of the Now Playing View.

In case you meant something else, or you think your suggestion should be considered as separate, you can submit a new idea highlighting how it’s distinct from the existing feature and including as much relevant info as possible.

Cheers 🤘
