Hi!

Can you confirm if this is happening on the Web Player as well?

Hi,
Is there an update to this topic? I am having the same issue as described above (even after clean reinstall).

However, there is something interesting happening. I can play songs as long as I have my bluetooth headphones connected.
I am on windows and have spotify installed (Spotify für Windows 1.2.4.912.g949d5fd0) via the installer provided by your website (download page).

What I have tried and how well it is working:

  • Playing songs via desktop program over speakers: Not working
  • Playing songs via desktop program over BT headphones: Working
  • Playing songs via web browser (headphones & speaker) : Working
  • Playing songs via web browser targeting desktop client & output set to speaker: Not working
  • Playing songs via web browser targeting desktio client & output set to BT headphones: Working

Selecting any other output (e.b. setting the monitor as my output) is also not resolving the issue.
Hope this information helps to resolve the issue.

Side note: While playing songs over headphones and when flipping sound output on windows to a different source the songs are still playing on my heatphones. Don't know if this is expected.

Hi @Smilko

Thanks for the detailed analysis and description of the issue you're seeing.

When you try to play music through your speakers, does it look like it's playing, or do you get a blue error message at the bottom of the Spotify window?

If you do not get an error message, please try the following steps.

In Windows 10/11:

Right-click on the sound icon in your taskbar and select sound settings.

Scroll down to the Volume Mixer option.

On the Volume Mixer page, click the Reset button at the bottom.

Let me know if that helps!
