My Question or Issue

 


so basically, i have done clean install of spotify, step by step using FAQ, and each time i try to install it, it says that spotify is installed.
also i've seen trying to open the link to the song, in order to see if it'll connect, but i keep getting the same error message
please help, thank you

Hi @brokenAcc,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Some Windows installations have Spotify pre-installed on them, so most likely this is what's causing the behaviour on your end. Have a look through all the installed programs and you should find the Windows Store version already present. You're welcome to just use that one if you want, or you can uninstall it and install the version from our site. Both are functionally identical, with only minor backend differences between them.

Hello Joan.
Thank you for your help. It didn't registered Spotify as installed, but after I've installed it through Microsoft Store and uninstalled it, seems like the issue was solved. Now I can install version from the site, thanks.
