Spotify will not warn if a song that is already in the playlist is added to the same playlist again at a later time.
Issue has existed a long time but not yet solved.

I couldn't reproduce this issue on my end.

Can you check if your Spotify app is running the latest version and if there's no new update available?

If your Spotify app is up to date, you can also try cleaning the app cache by clicking on your username profile > Settings > Scroll down until you see the Storage session, and click on Clear cache.

If it doesn't help, you can also try a clean reinstall as this is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.
