web app launching in firefox when starting spotify on laptop

My Question or Issue

how can i stop the web app from launching everytime i start spotify on my laptop. it is so annoying. I have deleted and reinstalled spotify have cleaned all cookies and registry entries for spotify and re installed spotify only to start spotify and experience the same annoting auto launch of the web app which i close and go on with the app on my laptop. 5 year member with this issue on only the laptop. Launch at start up is set to NO in spotify. so web app only launches after I start spotify.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. 

We appreciate the troubleshooting you've done so far, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use these steps for a clean reinstall? They are more thorough than a regular one. That way you can make sure the app’s cache is not causing this issue.

In case that the issue persists after reinstalling, we'd recommend logging out from the web app in the Firefox browser (it could be directly from the Pop-up) by hitting the profile name on the upper right corner and selecting "Log out". Once you've logged out, you need to delete cache and cookies from your Firefox browser so it doesn't happen again.

I am sorry taking so long to reply. thanks for suggestion. here is my approach to eliminate web app launching when starting spotify... still an annoying issue on this laptop with windows 10. not on my iphone firestick nor my desktop running windows 7 pro.

1 use spotify and "log out on all devices"

2 uninstall Spotify using windows

3 start fire fox and delete all cookies and history

4 Run CCleaner and delete all cookies and registry entries from each scan

5 update and run SpyBot Search and Destroy and fix all results

6 scan computer using Windows file explorer for "spoti" and "Spoti" and "SPOTI and delete user/app/data search results.

7 turn off and restart laptop

8 re run above steps(2=7) and check installed program list for spotify (looks clean

9reinstall spotify and laptop app starts and WEB APP LAUNCHES in FIREFOX.

UGH!

close firefox and listen to spotify using laptop.
