wont connect my account on 2 devices

My Question or Issue

i recently reset my laptop and have downloaded spotify again onto my desktop. the mobile app is linked to my Facebook account so i tried logging in and connecting my laptop account to Facebook but it only logs me in to either my old account or to my account only dating back to 2014. how do i go about getting my spotify up to date with my phone even though it says its linked to my Facebook?

Then, use this page to cancel any unnecessary accounts if needed.

In addition, visit you're account overview page at Spotify.com, click "Sign Out Everywhere" and try logging back in with the same credentials across all devices.
