Recently a video on YouTube was released about this subject, and I found it to be really disturbing. I am not interested in AI generated music taking listens away from real human artists. It's not just AI playlists or a DJ, they are generating full albums for fake bands with profiles written by AI and images of these "bands" stolen from real bands or from random spots on the internet. If Spotify doesn't do something to stop this, I am not going to continue using this platform, and neither should you. This actively hurts real artists. Having AI music recommended to you, entire albums by fake bands, it's distopian and strange and I did not agree to participate. I pay for Spotify so I can listen to REAL music by REAL people. The video mentioned above is titled Spotify's Massive AI Scandal for anyone who hasn't seen it and would like to watch.
I absolutely hate the release radar now. On the list from last Friday, a third of the songs are made with AI.
Stop pushing this AI-degenerate garbage to me. I pay you to listen to real music made by real people. It is absolutely disgraceful that you allow content like this to be on your platform, and then actively push it onto people.
I'm already in the process of moving my playlists to YoutubeMusic because my employer has blocked Spotify's services. Might as well migrate there on my personal devices as well if Spotify continues this kind of nonsense.
I also came across one of these on a song radio and it has 101 THOUSAND streams. Is there no way to report AI generated tracks to Spotify, or do they really not care at all?
Honestly, I donโt care about if Spotify adds AI generated music. Some AI generated music sounds better than actual music.
Almost a year since this was posted and still no reply from Spotify. Some weeks I feel like 25% of the "Discover Weekly" feed is AI-generated garbage. Anyone who messed with platforms like Suno for more than 30 minutes in their life can notice this easily, it just has a "stench" to it.
Give us the option to report this nonsense and - much more importantly - for the love of god, don't enable this disgusting trend anymore.
Yes, I know it's much cheaper for Spotify to generate their own slop and feed it to us - keeps the money right where the board wants it - but please, please, PLEASE do the moral thing and consider what is actually good for your user base and for artists worldwide.
There is no option to report AI music, only their banners and images and things. https://open.spotify.com/artist/5cATbhvkfafBq6O064Mz96?si=oJhUClmSSZyNLxJY2pC6NA Literakky everything by this 'artist' in blatantly AI generated music. And I hate that it keeps coming up in my algorithm. Why do you make it impossible to report AI content? I pay for real music and talent, not frauds like this. Please do something.
