Solutions on the Spotify Community

 A marked Solution is the current best-suited answer to the question at hand. It is usually chosen by the original poster, a Moderator or a Spotify Star.

 

The Solution can be marked because it offers extra context or provides a workaround, even if it doesn't contain the exact information that ‘’fixes the issue’’. This can often frustrate users as they expect the Solution to be a fix. But we mark these answers as Solutions as it means they are more prominent, and are easier to find in Search and Browse.

 

Marked Solutions are highlighted in green and floated to the top of the page to indicate that they’ve been officially recognized as the best answer. This makes them easier to spot in a long list of replies.

 

The Solution can change over time as more Community members share their insights or something is updated backstage at Spotify. Topics which have a marked Solution are still open for comments from both users and Staff!

 

Marking a Solution does not always signify that the response successfully resolves the problem.

 

It can mean that:

  • Spotify Mods and Stars want to share more insights about the topic at hand - usually that we are aware of the issue and are asking questions to pass on further to internal teams
  • There is a good workaround for the issue posted by a user, a Mod or a Star
  • There is an idea where users can leave their votes to show support with feature requests
  • These are the exact steps to follow to solve the problem.
