DJ Communication

Have a way to communicate to your DJ AI so he knows your Mood I.e. If you are not in the right mood for what he chooses, if he's doing a good job or if he's picked a real stinker. Whether it is verbally or in a chat text box or just having a DJ section with buttons that do different things. Being able to give him feedback to get the best experience is vital otherwise when he plays something even if its good and I'm just not in the right mood for it I am just going to change away from him.

I would love an AI-powered Spotify chat, where I can discuss the recommendations that Spotify gives me in Daily Mixes and “related songs” after I finish my listening of album or playlist. It would be nice if it had memory linked to my own algorithm I would tell things like:

1) I like that you’re proposing me new music, but I’d like to keep it in the same genre, maybe in the next Daily Mix 1 try to find songs only from artists like: example 1, 2, 3…

2) I would like my Daily Mixes be organised by genres. Daily mix 1 - genre 1, etc…

3) I really don’t like to listen to those artists and most music they create, but I don’t want to block them - can you not include them in my playlists?
4) I loved the song you showed me last time (name of the song). Can you list me artists or songs that are similar?
5) I really like (name of the song/artist), but I think it is played too often in my Daily Mixes.
6) I don’t want to see any of (examples) in my main feed.
I would also like to discuss the music with the chat. Probably ask about some info about the song, artist or so. Or ask the chat about the song I played the most in whole history of listening.

Many possibilities. Just an idea. What do you think?

It would be great if you could allow your DJ to take in text based input that allows the user to describe and then curates music to play based on that. Your existing recommender engine is insane, but I bet linking it with some sort of LLM to process the text input should allow you to create a really good curated DJ experience where input prompts could be stuff like "I'm feeling rather tired and unmotivated today, but I got a lot of work to do like x,y,z.. suggest some music that will put me in the zone". And this prompt can then be lead to a curated playlist.

Also less talking by the DJ would be great.

I’m often using the DJ feature with headphones in an area where I’ll look crazy if I start talking to myself. I’d love to be able to text the DJ instead of holding down the button as speaking to make a request.

love the Spotify DJ feature and use it all the time, but it would be amazing if I could interact with it verbally. For example, saying things like “Play something chill,” “Skip this track,” or “Give me a new vibe” would make the experience feel way more intuitive and hands-free—especially while driving, cooking, or working.

Could you please consider adding voice control options, either through Spotify directly or integrated with voice assistants like Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa? Thanks!

Spotify doesn't seem to get the music I'm looking for. For starters, it doesn't get that I don't like songs over 5 minutes. If I could tell what I like, and was able to give it small clips of music I like, it understand much more of what I'm looking for.
