[Account] Quickly switch between saved Accounts

I hope this isn't on the immediate roadmap because they want to implement a solution which is more than just the ability to easily switch accounts.

Would be great if clients would be open-source like that the community could add the feature.

Open source.. quite a horrible idea.. lots of things are good in open source, but this is not one of them.

but this post is about Spotify needing the ability to add multiple accounts on one device (PC) and easily switch between them. That not even family accounts can do this makes very little sense...

Please organise for this to be a feature in Spotify. Log in and chose your (saved) usericon/profile (if you happen te be a Premium Spotify user with a family option). It is really something I miss, and it is not a strange option to have. Look at Netflix, they offer the same option. Another benefit is that it is possible to see what another familymember is up to music-wise. This is a nice oppertunity to discover new music.

I agree with the crowd here: please implement this feature. I want to be able to share Spotify at home with my children more easily. For $15 a month, that seems like a reasonable request.

Podría tener mi cuenta personal, y otra de artista, ajena a la mía, con dos contraseñas distintas?. Cuentas separadas. Hasta ahora, los demás miembros de la banda pueden entrar en mi cuenta Premium, al estar vinculadas. Si cambio la contraseña de una, cambio la de las dos.

A good idea... a personal home account, with personal password, and music band artist account,with different password. So, the band members can manage the artist profile, but not my personal profile. Simple. Two separate accounts, two passwords, two different worlds. Please do it.

So what are these guys working on that is so important? Iow what other functionality could have a higher priority for spotify developers than implementing the account switch?! it is the single most annoying thing, by far, with the spotify user experience!

This is not a "new idea," but is a feature that used to exist in the desktop app and was removed.Please bring it back! There a a lot of similar requests for the functionality on various platforms, but they keep getting closed. To make effective use of the 'family plan' this is a crucial feature.

Holy moly, please get this working! With children, you dont want to mix libraries and of course not have an extra device for each child. This really has to be possible!

12 pages of comments so far, and not a word from Spotify? That is amazingly ignorant from the developers (or those who are supposed to pitch ideas to the developers) so that their product becomes even better.

I would think that some of the developers at Spotify come up with new ideas themselves from time to time, and nobody has been thinking about this feature?  The possibility to easily switch between user accounts on a shared device (like a tablet in the bathrooom or a PC in the living room) is of couse something that should be prioritized.

It is of course possible to use Spotify Connect if you have your phone close by and want to play on another device, but I can't understand why Spotiy doesn't make it easier for people to switch accounts on a shared device. This would obviously make my family's routines a whole lot easier when getting up in the morning.  🙂
