Add Equalizer in Spotify

For ipod touch there is a huge need for eq because Spotify bypasses the regular Apple Sound Settings.

I use high end headphones but need to be able to fintune the settings so I can enjoy my music and tech equally.

So please, please make an EQ for the spotify app

Updated: 2015-09-17

Spotify now lets you enjoy music audio the way you want to hear it with the launch of our in-app equalizer on the iPhone and iPad.

Simply update the latest version of the Spotify iOS app and go to Settings > Playback > Equalizer to access the new feature.

If you're one of our Android friends, we already have a native equalizer which you can access inside the app under Audio Effects in the Settings.

If you'd like to see an equalizer on desktop you can give kudos to this "Equalizer for the Desktop Version" idea. Thanks!

Regarding the Equalizer---Spotify Corporate, COME ONNNNNNN! You have this amazing service, but are missing a crucial component.

Please re-include this in the app for all platforms (Computer and iDevices)

I am not into equalisers, I want lossless streaming.  Currently Spotify is great at two things the first being massively more important to people that don't consider cost as issue, finding new musical directions.  The second is convenience.  Sound quality is not something I associate with spotify but like a lot of people I am now going its time to get back to CD quality.  For 10-15 years the trade of convenience and size of collection has been given precedence over quality.

I am listening through Genelic monitors, Audez LCD2's cans and Burson audio composer with a mac mini SSD source and audirvana.  At the moment spotify is useful for that system only for identifying material lossless material to purchase or otherwise.  I would happily pay many times the current cost of Premium if they would up the streaming rate so I was limited by the pipe not by the source.  Then and only then will Spotify be a quality company at the moment they are still the Swedish pirate agency that thinks they are morally OK to screw the musicians a little less than those that totally rip them off.

Yes I do use Spotify to .. but then I got to lots of live concerts buy CDs and play music myself ... like a lot of people include the CEO of spotify. So come on man raise your game, dont play to the lowest common denominator, tieir the structure if you have to but let the people who want quality pay for it rather than calling "Vanilla" Premium because the other flavor is free but with advertising.

This rubbish about no need to equalize is ridiculous!

Everyone has thier own taste in music

Everyone has different preferences on the sound they like

Speakers vary

Rooms vary

Headphones can be wildly different

I'm getting older, and need to boost the highs a bit

HOW MANY REASONS DO YOU NEED?

Look how many loved the 'unofficial' hidden EQ

For those that don't want it - leave it off.

But PLEASE give it to the thousands of us that want/need an equalizer.

COME ON SPOTIFY, FOR GOODNESS SAKE - LISTEN!

My hearing is extremely sensitive to high frequencies. I MUST cut high frequencies or I can't tolerate headphones. The hidden EQ was perfect in that I could cut those frequecies and it was perfect. When I got my iphone replaced, the app updated and killed the EQ. Now I can't use Spotify.

I was using Tunigo as a stop gap, which has an equalizer. But it started crashing, and now the Tunigo iPhone app has been removed from the App Store!!!!!

How hard is it to have a dang EQ??? Especially when it was there at one point! I pay for spotify, so I am not a freeloading complainer.

Spotify rocks!!! I don't mind paying $20 bucks a month to have all the music in the world in my poket ($20 because I pay my wife's account too).

The EQ is absolutely necesary for every device. It's a shame they took off the hidden one in iOS.

I pay the bass and I would like to be able to turn up the lows so I can listen to bass in songs better.

Please, don't take any longer guys.

THANKS!!!

I'm using Android version, so they do have EQ. However, desktop and apple version don't, this is really disappoint to many people. I used Razer Surround in my desktop, so EQ is not that big of a deal. But, they SHOULD make the EQ for ALL the devices, if someone didn't like to put EQ, just turn it off, simple as that. What big of a deal to delete EQ? People still have faith in you, Spotify, don't make it more worse 🙂

I honestly can't believe there still is no EQ for the iPhone app. Spotify has the slowest development cycle of any app. It's horrendous.

I also like to see an equalizer with spotify. Now!

Spotify Team. I can't understand how there can be 32 pages of comments with little or no response from you regarding this crucial addition. You had a hidden EQ before, now you've for some stupid reason, decided you will prevent all your dedicated users from accessing it by removing it all together. I'm no developer but given you had a working model already, should it be really taking you this long to release it?

And what's with the lack of response? How can you possible ignore so many questions about the same thing? Is Spotify a front for SkyNet which is only managed by robots hell bent on taking over the world?

Hurry it up either with some sort of formal response simply add the EQ or you will be terminated! There's always iTunes.......
