[Android] Android Widget

Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

Reminds me of the "You must all listen to drake... drake! DRAKE!" decision. 

The only way they will listen is to vote with your money. These comments, whilst letting off steam, do nothing. Saying you will leave or downgrade your package does nothing.

Actually DO IT.

If everyone who has voted dropped their sub thats 60k a month less revenue for Spotify. That's the ONLY way you have a possibility of getting them to listen.

I've been an avid Spotify supporter and premium user for years, and have had no issue with the service until now. I fail to see the benefits, to both  Spotify or its users, of removing features. At the very least, communicating to your users and letting them know in advance that features will be removed, rather than hiding changes in your patch notes. This is a deplorable business practice, and as much as I love and enjoy this service, I feel as though I have been kicked in the teeth. I have cancelled my subscription, and will be switching to another premium platform soon.

I hate to make this drastic of a change but, unfortunately speaking with your wallet is the only way to ensure your voice is heard these days.

The Android home screen widget was deprecated last week - and there is an official announcement about this on the Community here.

Adding my vote to the pile. 

I am Spotify loyal (since September 3, 2011), but Amazon Music is right around the corner... PLEASE don't give me a reason to switch. Bring the widget back!

Seriously mad my widget is gone now. I used it. Everyone on my Family Plan does! Every change made lately is making my user experience less positive, but this widget bit is enough to make me think about moving to another app.
