[Android] Android Widget

Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

We’re excited to let you know the Android Widget is back. To get listening, make sure you’re on the latest version of the app and Spotify will show in the widget menu on your device. The widget is now resizable too and some stability issues have been fixed.

Huh, I guess we're going to see if, like songs, there's also an arbitrary limit of 10,000 on the number of votes an idea can get.

Bring back the widget or I am switching to google music or something. Been with Spotify for years, but you keep making your platform worse and worse with these "improvements"...

 

Just put the widget back or **bleep** off.

Please bring back the widget! I hate that I have to pull down the notification menu to change the songs. The widget was an awesome feature when I was working out and when I was in my car. PLEASE BRING BACK THE WIDGET. please? Thank you.

wth? So there was a widget and now it is gone. You are saying this was deliberate and not just an oversight when updating hte app???

 

You guys are 100% effing useless.

First to Spotify : you have many purple canceling services due to the removal of the widget  second :I'm putting this to everyone else canceling your service ,what do you recommend? I loved this app but am in no way having something without a widget, anything similar? (I really haven't tried anything else)
