[Android] Android Widget

Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

We’re excited to let you know the Android Widget is back. To get listening, make sure you’re on the latest version of the app and Spotify will show in the widget menu on your device. The widget is now resizable too and some stability issues have been fixed.

Over 12k votes compared to the typical 300-400 and they won't even address it. SMH listen to your paying customers for once.

Yeah, probably only one solution. This went in the comment section when I unsubscribed: "One word: Widget. Your arrogance is appalling and unfortunately it isn't the first time you been so very very tonedeaf with regards to your customers wants and needs - and I remember how long it took for at group of dedicated users to get you to listen the last time. Time to try out the competition again. But perhaps I'll return when I purchase my first Apple product and after +10 years decide that I no longer like android or widgets and no longer hate Apple. It'll probably be in the works with the same speed as Spotify will get accustomed to listening to the feedback from users."

And speaking of tonedeaf: Spotify replied with a "we want you back"-soundtrack starting with Janet Jackson. You want me to leave anything anywhere anytime anyhow, play me stuff like Janet!

I'd love to have the widget back. Spotify is the app I use the most and not having the widget is making it so much harder to control.
