[Android] Android Widget

Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

We’re excited to let you know the Android Widget is back. To get listening, make sure you’re on the latest version of the app and Spotify will show in the widget menu on your device. The widget is now resizable too and some stability issues have been fixed.

Bring back the widget! Removing this feature has not improved functionality. Listen to your customers.

I understand that you want to remove old features that are just carried along. But i think this widget is still heaviliy used by thousands of people. Just very convenient. It's not that complicated to reintroduce this feature. Please listen to the community.

The reason we buy Android instead of iCrap is for Widgets. They make like easier. Deezer and Amazon music have Widgets, stupid idea to take it away. Bring it back asap please.

Why was this feature removed? I've just moved over from Google Play music and am amazed that Spotify doesn't have a widget. It's a basic feature, surely? Might be returning to Google after my month's up...

Spotify is testing higher subscription prices so now is a great time to cancel. I just started with Google Play music. They have a great widget.

The only reason I can think of as to why remove the widget is an intern named jon snow decided that it was a good idea to remove the widget "just because" and somehow that idea slipped through the cracks of management and ended up being approved.

You people know nothing.
