Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

Is this for real??? Do you guys realize after pausing some time, it drops from the pull down notification and lock screen so that's not really a solution. So first we can't change our usernames. Something gazillions of other sites allow. That has been voted 10k+ times and yet Spotify continues to claim they listen to their users. What next? We can't listen to music? I'm truly an **bleep** for using a 6-month giftcard so now I'm stuck with you guys til next year. By the way, two updates ago, app has been draining my battery. I seriously don't know how Spotify operates.

I want to add my voice to this. The widget was very convenient and reduced friction when using your app. Fewer and easier swipes (not having to reach all the way up to access it) and I used it all the time. I am pretty bummed you removed it.

I use(d) the Spotify widget all the time. It is really aggravating that it has been removed from Andriod. I have a tablet solely dedicated to controlling my stereo system and the Spotify widget was 99% of the tablet's purpose.  If I have to jump through hoops to control my listening sessions now, I may as well start looking at options to see what other streaming services out there will suit me better.

I'm thinking of subscribing because i loved the homepage widget, why remove it?.. Why not just leave it how it was, not gonna cost anything but removing it will.

On nous vent une application qui es tout le temps à jours avec des nouveauté et votre dernière nouveauté c'est de retiré l'atout majeur de votre application sur le système d'exploitation Android 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 franchement félicitation ça c'est de l'innovation si vous ne faite pas un rolback vous aller le regretter et perdre un bonne partie de votre comunauté don moi

I have been spending money on this app forever but you will be losing another loyal customer to Pandora or soundcloud since you cannot bring back something we have always had. I would rather spend money somewhere where they care about the customer and the needs. Thousands of people have posted on here asking for you to bring back old technology and the best answer you have is not right now.... Whatever

Of course, cause Android will kill it after some minutes. Spotify know it but they are too busy giving the middle finger to their customers. Who's paying for their salaries and shares anyway?
